Queensland Arts Council changes its name to Artslink Queensland

Queensland Arts Council (QAC) is currently enhancing its position as the peak body for regional arts in Queensland and celebrates its 51st anniversary with a new trading name: “Artslink Queensland”.

Artslink Queensland aims to be the ‘go to’ organisation for regional arts that connects, represents, adds value and is the engine room for innovation and creativity in Queensland.

Artslink Queensland will connect artists and communities through the arts in Queensland.

This builds on our 50 year history of regional arts, exhibitions, schools and adult performing arts touring across Queensland.

Our new mission statement “Inspiring Arts in Queensland” re-enforces our new direction. “Inspiring Arts” is descriptive of the type of arts we showcase – uplifting, encouraging, exciting, moving, affecting, stirring, stimulating, rousing, exhilarating, heartening… – in one word inspirational!

Our contemporary new logo clearly and simply captures our name change without losing the history of 50 years of Queensland Art Council by utilising ‘est. 1961’.

QAC’s 2010 AGM (held in April 2011) announced the repositioning of the organisation and change of trading name.

Artslink Queensland aims to reinforce its new and very exciting brand and build on it for the next fifty years.
